The luxury of a long, holiday weekend is a great time to explore rivers further from home. With months of advance planning, we secured a campsite in Branford just minutes from the public boat ramp. Though the journey took longer than expected, so arriving close to nightfall had us feeling lucky to secure the only "camp like" spot in the park.
After our meal of fire roasted Koegel Vienna hotdogs and tuna pasta salad, we enjoyed a fire and some games before a good nights' sleep.
Once up in the morning, mom and dog, Seger enjoyed a nice walk around the campground then packed the cooler for a day out on the boat. That is when we got to see how special this part of Florida really is!
